VELVET VOICES IN THE WALLENSTEIN GARDEN

The prelude to the new FOK season, in keeping with tradition, will be held in the Wallenstein Garden. However, as 2019 is a special year, the program will be special, marking the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution. Together with conductor Jan Kučera, we’ll welcome a few important personalities crucially linked to the ‘velvet days’– Jaroslav Hutka, Michael Kocáb and the Spirituál kvintet, who will perform the famous song Náměšť and the spiritual We Shall Overcome. We won’t be lacking a woman on the guest list! Aneta Langerová will join us and remind everyone that the velvet days 30 years ago belonged not least to the young generation.

The concert is organized under the auspices of Jaroslav Kubera, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic.
