Andrej BOREJKO | conductor
Our regular esteemed guest, the conductor Andrej Borejko originally wanted to be an archaeologist. As we know, it turned out differently. However, he retained his sense for interesting discoveries, as proven by the Czech premiere of a composition by Russian-Canadian composer Nikolai Korndorf. It tells the story of the most famous folk painter Maud Lewis from the maple country. There are other colors on the program. A neo-baroque Shostakovich tint in which the pianist Ivo Kahánek and the FOK Principal Trumpet Marek Zvolánek will shine. The climax will come with the sparkling colors of The Firebird by Igor Stravinsky. A composer who is one of the 2019/2020 season’s guides.
