Overture in F major HWV 342
CAPELLA DA CAMERA PRAGA
Magdalena MALÁ | concertmaster
We’ll welcome the New Year at Smetana Hall of the Municipal House with a full orchestra and the Slavonic Dances by Antonín Dvořák. In January 2020, there will be another party, this time at the Church of Saints Simon and Jude. OK, let’s be honest, the orchestra will be a bit smaller, but the great composer Georg Friedrich Handel will be on the throne – or rather on the music stands. In honor of the New Year his Music for the Royal Fireworks will be heard, and alluding to the nearby river, his Water Music. In charge of this most responsible musical task will be put the ensemble of the FOK double-bass player Lukáš Verner, Capella da camera Praga, who, at the same venue, has performed Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos.
