Jan Nykrýn acquired invaluable performing experiences not only during his studies at the Prague Conservatory, but also at the Lawrence University (USA). He graduated from the Charles University in 2002. In years 1995-2007, he was a member of the Czech Nonet. With the group, he recorded many compact disks for Harmonia Mundi – Praga Digital label as well as for radio broadcasting companies around the globe. He has always been intensely engaged in chamber music. Since 2005, alongside his performing activities as a member of the Prague Symphony Orchestra, he has been performing with the Parnas Ensemble, Musica Pro Anima, and Praga Camerata. He became the principal violist of the Prague Symphony Orchestra in 2023.
