The excellent FOK cellist Petr Malíšek, who moves as a fish in water between Baroque and modern cello, swims equally easily between the FOK cello section and chamber projects. Among those is his very active engagement with the Orbis Trio, where he looks after trio repertoire, together with the excellent violinist and equally versed pianist Stanislav Gallin. Occasionally, they perform in the FOK Chamber series. This will be the case in November 2021, and so it should be, as this will be Beethoven’s year and his piano trios cannot be overlooked. The expressive Piano Trio by Arno Babajanian proves that Beethoven has excellent followers.
