Composer and pianist Kryštof Mařatka joins violist Karine Lethiec for a programme inspired by artistic innovation and the spirit of surrealism. Spanning more than two centuries, it brings together music by trailblazing composers who challenged convention, from Maria Theresia von Paradis to Debussy and Martinů, alongside two of Mařatka's own distinctive works. Performed in the atmospheric setting of the Convent of St. Agnes of Bohemia, the programme reveals unexpected connections across centuries of musical imagination.
At the beginning of the concert, you can look forward to a lecture about the painting Magnetic Fish by Mikuláš Medek, 1949
Lecturer: Monika Švec Sybolová
The concert is held under the patronage of H. E. Stéphane Crouzat, Ambassador of France to the Czech Republic.
