JORDI SAVALL – HESPÈRION XXI

In February 2018, we witnessed the excellent harpsichordist Luca Guglielmi playing alongside the violinist Enrico Onofri. An enjoyable meeting followed the concert and in the middle of it an idea emerged: how about Luca bringing his main performing partner next time, who is none other than the great Spaniard, the soul of the Hesperion XXI group – Jordi Savall i Bernadet. The promise has turned into reality; the soprano and bass violas da gamba of this musician, with over one hundred recordings to his name, will resound throughout the Church of Saints Simon and Jude. With his two colleagues – the above-mentioned Luca and the Norwegian Rolf Lislevand, on his fingerboard - he will guide us through Renaissance and Baroque treasure troves of his native Spain, as well as England, Germany, France, Portugal and Italy.

The concert is being held under the auspices of H. E. Angel Lossada Torres-Quevedo, Ambassador of Spain to the Czech Republic.
