We had met the Finnish pianist Antti Siirala even before Pietari Inkinen became our chief conductor. In 2008, he gave a very successful recital within the World Piano Music series. In December 2017, he repeated the success with his performance celebrating the centenary of Finnish Independence. The Beethoven & Bruckner series provides a perfect opportunity for him. Bruckner’s Sixth Symphony will be on the programme with Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto, which brought him victory in all possible Beethovenian competitions.
