The Piano Recital series is the longest running series of its kind in the Czech Republic. In its ‘genetic makeup’ is the aim to not only present masters of the field but to focus likewise on the compositions. The recital of the pianist and composer Adam Skoumal fully complies with this concept. Alongside Beethoven’s and Schumann’s works, in the Czech part of the evening we’ll hear the rarely performed piano cycle Spring by Josef Suk and a selection from Puppets by Bohuslav Martinů, as well as Skoumal’s own works. He will play his frolicsome The Jongleur and his Etude for Left Hand.
