The Prague Symphony Orchestra has been giving joy with its music in Prague, in the Czech Republic and abroad for almost three quarters of a century now. Its present principal conductor Jiří Kout has built on the work of his predecessors and brought the PSO up to top artistic form. Star soloists and conductors from all over the world perform on the podium of the Smetana Hall at subscription and special concerts. The orchestra presents difficult symphonic and cantata works, and superb musical instruments worth millions of crowns are contributing to the orchestra's translucent sound.

We are lucky that we are presenting our art to you, our loyal concert-goers and friends of the orchestra. We know that you take an interest in everything related to our work and activities. And we are sure that if you can you will be pleased to support us and so contribute to the further artistic growth of the orchestra. This is why we are founding the PSO Friends club from the 2008/2009 season.

Anyone can become a member of the club by deciding to support the PSO's activities with an annual contribution of 1,000 Kč or more. Become a Friend of the PSO, share in the orchestra's further artistic development and enjoy special membership benefits.

• Free entrance to public dress rehearsals
• Invitation to a glass of wine with the PSO concert masters on the occasion of the opening and closing of the season
• Christmas present with thank you from the principal conductor
• An e-mail monthly magazine sent exclusively to members of the club. Priority mailing of the FOKus information bulletin
• Listing of your name on the orchestra's web pages www.fok.cz
• The possibility of deducting the value of your gift from the income-tax base.

Minimal annual contribution for an individual : 1 000 Kč

Minimal annual contribution for a couple.: 1 800 Kč

You can support us with a sum larger than the minimal annual contribution. With a contribution higher than 5 000 Kč you gain individual membership benefits.

How to join the PSO Friends club

• Fill in the application form available,

2. at the PSO advance booking office in the Municipal House

• Pay the membership contribution

1. by bank transfer (acc. no. 11130011/0100, bank code 5555, text for recipient: Your name and surname)
2. by post-office order: forms available at the PSO advance booking office in the Municipal House - these can be filled in and presented for transfer with the payment at any post office.

• You will receive a membership card and a confirmation of the gift that you may use to claim a deduction from the income-tax base.
• The membership card will be sent by post to the address stated on the application form.
