In February 2018 our long-term project Beethoven – Bruckner will continue, and it will be again an interesting duel. The Third meets the Seventh. For the less informed, it may sound like a math soirée. But if we call the Seventh Lyrical it’s clear that we’re talking about Bruckner’s breathtaking symphony. For the Third we can choose the attribute Smetana’s, because Bedřich Smetana wrote his own cadenzas for this Beethoven concerto, which suggests that it is a representative piece. And we could call this concerto also Kasík’s, because this evening it is going to be really his. And of course Pietari Inkinen’s, who feels at home with music of those two giants like the FOK feels at the Smetana Hall.

The concert is being held under the auspices of H. E. Mrs. Helena Tuuri, Ambassador of Finland to the Czech Republic
