Stanislav Penk
graduated at the Prague Conservatory in the class of Josef Šimek and at the Music faculty of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in trombone classes of prof. Miloslav Hejda and Zdeněk Pulec. During his studies he successfully participated in competitions at home and abroad. Since 1993 he has been the solo trombonist of the Prague Chamber Philharmonic and since 2007 he has been the Prague Symphony Orchestra trombonist with alternately taken position of 1st, 2nd or third trombone. He also performs with the other chamber ensembles, the Czech brass or Pražské dechové kolegium among the others. He also regularly collaborates with internationaly leading artists such as James Fitzpatrick´s, Carl Davis´ s or Nick Raine´s production. Stanislav Penk deals for a long term with the authentic performance of early music. In this range he cooperates with leading Czech and foreign early music ensembles such as Musica Florea, Musica Aeterna, Musica Regia, Inégal Ensemble, with whom he recorded several CDs.
