Petr  Kořínek

Acoustic bass player, pianist, composer, conductor and educator. Graduated from the State Conservatory in Brno (1963-1969).

Petr is a member of a chamber ensemble Baroque jazz kvintet lead by Jiří Hlaváč and vocal/instrumental group Linha singers. In 2005 established a trio with a guitar player Adam Tvrdý and a drummer Otto Hejnic called TRIALOG and recorded a CD with the trio in September 2005. Has performed in jazz festivals in Prague, Karlovy Vary, Pilsner, Olomouc, Brno, Liberec, Cheb, Bratislava, Zvolen, Košice, Trenčín, Frankfurt, Gent, Blizen, Brussels, Istanbul, Middelheim, Warsaw, Molde, etc.
Has recorded dozens of LPs, SPs, EPs and CDs either as his own projects or as a member of various groups and orchestras.
Has received several prizes for composition and interpretation on  Czechoslovakian as well as international scene. Has composed hundreds of compositions for various instrumentations - from chamber music to big band, jazz orchestra with a mixed choir, string quartet, etc.
