Lucie Fišer Silkenová
soprano

Lucie was born in Prague, May 12, 1984. She has studied opera singing and obligato piano playing at the Jan Neruda Gymnazium, Prague - Secondary Grammar School - focused on musical education.
Between 1989-1997 she was a member of the Kühn Children Choir, with whom she travelled through Europe; thanks to it she also sang at the National Theatre in Antonín Dvořák´s opera Jakobín.
After graduation she was accepted for studies at the Academy of Performing Arts – Music Faculty (HAMU) - class of opera singing conducted by Ivan Kusnjer – baritone and the National Theatre soloist. Since 2007 she has also studied music management.
Within the Tón HAMU Opera Studio her role was Barberina (W.A.Mozart: Figaro´s Wedding) and Pantryboy (A. Dvořák: Rusalka). at the DISK Theatre she enacted the role of Kamila Urválková (L. Janáček: Zápisník zmizelého). Due to winning a competition in London she was accepted for opera courses in Dartington, which brought her the role of First Boy (W.A.Mozart: Zauberflöte). She performs the role of Corilla (G. Donizetti: Viva la Mamma), and the role of Liza (F. Lehár: Das Land des Lachelns) at the F.X. Šalda Theatre, Liberec.
She took part in masterly singing courses in England (Alexander Olivier), Germany (Haruhito Kobayashi), Austria (Rotraud Hansmann, Gabriela Lechner, Georg Nigl) and in the Czech Republic, Prague (Gery Grice, Margreet Honig, Margot Nollen, Marta Scheffel, Svatava Šubrtová, Tomas Paul, Anatolli Goussev).
In 2003 she took part in solo concert tour in Japan. in September 2008 she returned to Japan, this time with the Chamber Opera of Prague, within performance of W.A.Mozart – Zauberflöte (First Lady, Papagena, First Boy), W.A.Mozart – Figaro´s Wedding (Barberina), and G.Rossini – Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Rosina).
Her singing ability was recognized at several international competitions:
- in 2003 at the Dušek´s Competition where she won the third prize in the category of future professionals
- in 2007 at the Antonín Dvořák´s International Singing Competition Karlovy Vary (42nd volume) she won second prize in the category of Junior Women
- in 2008 she received the first prize at the International Competition of Young Musicians in France "Concours International d’Encouragement Musical, Lyon", organized by worldwide organization Rotary Club (RC Praha, RC Nürnberg-Neumarkt, RC Lyon Porte Des Alpes)
Since 2005 she has performed at the Semafor Theatre within Pension Rosamunda, Sukně smutnou jehlou spíchnutá, and Lysistrata in which she continues to sing a coloraturo-jazz aria that was written by Jiří Suchý just for her voice. Since 2007 she cooperates with the Orchestra Atlantis and the Atlantis Collegium chamber orchestra. She has sung for seven years at beneficence concerts for the foundation „Sun Shines for All“ (foundation and facilities for people with intellectual disabilities and their families).
