Alessandro Crudele

Young Italian Alessandro Crudele is currently one of the most outstanding conductors of his generation. He was born in Milan, where he studied violin with Daniele Gai and composition with Fabio Vacchi at the Conservatory Giuseppe Verdi. From 1999 to 2001 he continued with Gianluigi Gelmetti at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena where he was awarded several scholarships and the most prestigious “Diploma d’Onore“. So far he has already conducted the the Orchestra dell’Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Symphony, the Melbourne Symphony, the Israel Symphony, the Orchestra Sinfonica Arturo Toscanini and a few others. Since 1999 has been Alessandro Crudele Chief Conductor of the Orchestra dell’Università degli Studi di Milano. Today performs with this orchestra renowned soloists such as Paul Badura-Skoda, Kolja Blacher, Enrico Dindo, Viviane Hagner, Albrecht Mayer, Gerhard Oppitz, Vadim Repin, Fazil Say and Lilya Zilberstein. Nowadays Alessandro Crudele makes his living in Berlin where he received further instruction from Sir Simon Rattle. Among his most recent activities are his conducting of the opera “Il Signor Bruschino“ by Rossini in Milan, debuts at Tonhalle Zurich and at the Philharmonie Berlin as well as a critically acclaimed visit to South Africa conducting the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kwazulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra.
